How to Stick to Your Resolutions

African Fashion inspired journal and sleepwear

After 2020, millions resolved that 2021 was going to be better, and they were to make changes to their lives.

Nearly half of us made New Year's resolutions, but less than 10 percent of us are actually keeping them. Whether it's lack of motivation, lack of resources, or you just lose interest, GO EASY ON YOURSELF and remember you can always make a fresh start and figure out ways to finish what you've started.

Whether it was a vow to shed weight, quit drinking and get fit, a resolution to spend more time helping others, take on new challenges and spend more time with loved ones. It is ok, don't discard and attempt to forget your resolution or commitment to yourself.

Here are few reasons people don't stick to their New Year's resolutions, how to keep it from happening this year and how to pick back and accomplish your resolutions.

Wax & Wonder's 90's Throwback Playlist

In today's world of mandatory social distancing due to the Coronavirus outbreak, many have turned to music to keep their spirits up. Whether it's in Italy where folks have joined their voices to sing on their balconies or on Instagram Live with DJs like DNice, Kid Capri and QuestLove, who have been spinning countless hours of hits, music has been used as a unifier and a means to help heal us during these challenging times.

To help you push through our current space, I've put together this 90s Throwback Playlist to help get your through your week.

DOING IT FOR THE CULTURE: ACCORDING TO WAX & WONDER BRAND AMBASSADORS

For Black History Month, we asked a few of our Brand Ambassadors to shine a spotlight on someone, who is either #doingitfortheculture or has heavily influenced their professional space. Funny enough, they each came up with a woman, which is perfect considering International Women's Day is around the corner.

Our Ambassadors are storytellers and social entrepreneurs, who are making an impact in their local U.S communities and throughout the Black Diaspora.

Here's what Christine said:

"As a health care professional I am proud to know that we had African-American women like MARY Mahoney paving the way for us in the health care field.  She was the first African American to study and work as a professionally trained nurse in the United States, graduating in 1879.

SEIZE THE DAY LIKE A BADASS

Doing it for the culture: According to Wax & Wonder Brand Ambassadors

For Black History Month, we asked a few of our Brand Ambassadors to shine a spotlight on someone, who is either #doingitfortheculture or has heavily influenced their professional space. Funny enough, they each came up with a woman, which is perfect considering International Women's Day is around the corner.

Our Ambassadors are storytellers and social entrepreneurs, who are making an impact in their local U.S communities and throughout the Black Diaspora.

Here's what Lorna said:

"Do you sometimes feel that you have to minimize your shine? I've had to. 😏 Oh, I could tell you stories. But then I virtually met @badassboz and she confirms that it's okay to be me, just as I am - unapologetic!

Let me introduce to some and welcome to others one of my #WC's Bozoma Saint John @badassboz.
